There's a really great wallpaper, created by my brother, for the upcoming mobile operating system Android, which is set to debut within the next week with the arrival of the highly anticipated T-Mobile G1 phone. This shouldn't satisfy your Android thirst just yet, but it may hold you off until your phone arrives.

New 'Up' Poster

Weekend Box Office Results Are Surprising
There are many movies out in theaters right now; Eagle Eye, An American Carol, Flash of Genius, How to Lose Friends and Alienate People, Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, Igor, Fireproof, My Best Friend's Girl, Righteous Kill, Ghost Town... The list goes on and on. There are popular movies, funny movies, sad movies, successful movies, truly great movies, and, well, terrible movies. Now, out of all these movies out in theaters, guess what is at the top of this weekend's box office list?
That's right, Beverly Hills Chihuahua! The movie that everybody thought was a joke. A movie that uses cute animals, pathetic jokes, and its star power to get people into theaters. And, apparently its working. Now, I haven't actually seen the movie yet, but judging by its 44% (which is honestly more than I was expecting) on Rotten Tomatoes, it can't be too fantastic. Beverly Hills Chihuahua was #1 at $29,000,000, and Eagle Eye came in second at about half what Beverly Hills Chihuahua made.

Toy Story 1 & 2 Re-release Details [UPDATED]
Today, more info was announced about the re-releases of Toy Story and Toy Story 2 into theaters. What was already known, is that 3D is involved, and they will be released on October 2nd, 2009 and February 12, 2010 respectively.
New details announced today are that there will be re-rendering, and freshening up of the original features so that they will match the detailed 2010 release of Toy Story 3 (which will be released in standard and 3D formats). Another note about the re-releases of the first two Toy Story flicks, is that, thankfully, no new footage or gimmicks will be added to the classic films; they are exactly the same as you remember, except that they are crisper with more detail, and they jump out of the screen at you. As put by Jim Morris, "There’s no new shots. There’s no new nothing. It’s exactly the same movie you saw before."
Another topic mentioned was the possibility of an IMAX release for future Pixar movies, but they say that they "never had it come quite to fruition", which means they are not planning on having it anytime soon.

I can't wait to see these classics (and soon-to-be-classic) in 3D! In fact, 3D or not, I am just excited to see these features in theaters again. Only another year till they start to roll out!

WALL-E and Disney/Pixar News
After all of those announcements earlier last week, nobody thought that there'd be even more news about Disney or Pixar or WALL-E this soon, but there is!
Briefly: Rotten Tomatoes, a highly-reliable film reviewing website, has named their top 100 animated movies of all time. Topping the list at #1 is Toy Story 2, followed by, in order, Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Disney's Pinocchio, Toy Story, and WALL-E is ranked at number 5. All of the other Pixar movies can be found within #29 on the list.
I mostly agree with this list. I love the Disney Classic cartoons, and these populate the majority of the list. I also adore Pixar's story-filled, well-animated films which can all be found in the first fourth of the list. Way to go Disney and Pixar!
Another brief announement is that WALL-E has reached a total of $220,590,437 domestically, and $366,412,437 worldwide! This makes WALL-E the 6th best Pixar movie Box Office-wise.
Go WALL-E! I can't wait for the DVD release!
