Tons of Really Great 'Up' Art from Lou Romano

Up as you almost definitely know, is a movie by Pixar Animation Studios. It is one of my most favorite movies of all time, and is very stunning in its art direction and animation. One of the main contributors to this artistic greatness is Lou Romano, Lighting Director on Up.

Lou Romano has a blog where he posts a lot of great personal art, and art from Pixar. He has recently had 2 really great posts that are worth mentioning.


The first features a bunch of artwork from Up, and can be found here. It also has several videos portraying this stunning artwork.


The second is especially wonderful. It is the color script for Up. It is like a storyboard for the film, but it depicts the specific colors and lighting that the animators should follow. The artwork is wonderful, and it follows the entire film. Look at it here.
